About Me

My photo
mamacarson
North Carolina, United States
I write what I know. This blog began when our family was living overseas in Great Britain. The story continued as this Southern girl learned to cope with life in Mid-Michigan. Now I have come full circle and returned to my home state of North Carolina, Life's literal and figurative travels have developed in me a deep affection for home and for the sunshine and culture of the American South. As a former elementary school teacher and current Mama of three, I often write about parenting, my never-ending quest for both sleep and spiritual enlightenment, and all of the astonishing lessons my children teach me (while I thought it was supposed to be the other way around). When inspired or stressed, I like to write, cook, and go for long walks out of doors, but I have never attempted all three at once. This blog gives me an outlet to reflect upon my life from the mundane to the extraordinary; often they turn out to be one in the same.
